A funeral service for Cheryl Sue Jones, 59 of Newark will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Osborne officiating. Cheryl died August 3, 2008 at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1949 in Zanesville. She was a graduate of the Ohio School for the Deaf, a member of the Columbus Club for the Deaf, Deaf Anglers, a former member of the CPD Softball Team, and a member of the Vineyard of Licking County. Survivors include her mother, Dorothy E. (Bob) DuBois; husband, Perry Jones, whom she married October 25, 1997; a son, Benjamin Brown; sisters, Jeanette (Richard) Parlier, Beverly Veits-Kirkbride; a brother, David Veits; a grandson, Zachariah Brown, all of Newark; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
