FRAZEYSBURG – Charles C. Untied, Sr., 75, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Tuesday evening, March 1, 2011 at his home.
Born October 12, 1935 in Zanesville, Ohio he was the son of the late Carl and Nona (Kendall) Untied and was a 1953 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. He was a retired employee of the Shelly Company where he worked in road construction for many years. He was a member of the Ohio Operator's Engineers union and Frazeysburg Lodge #490, F. & A. M. Mr. Untied enjoyed hunting, fishing, trap shooting and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Thelma P. (Robertson) Untied whom he married February 9, 1953; four sons and daughters in-law, Charles C., Jr. and Ella Untied of Frazeysburg, David and Cheryl Untied, Kenneth and Lynn Untied and Brad and Shelia Untied, all of Dresden; a daughter and son in-law, Deborah and Matthew Pierce of Dresden; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters, Waynolae Norris of Frazeysburg and Mildred Fink of Buckeye Lake, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Untied and two sisters, Ilona Williams and Gladys Harmon.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Funeral Home with Mr. Untied's niece, the Rev. Mildred Foucht officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
