Obituary

DRESDEN: Charles E. Untied, 82 of St. Louisville, formerly of Trinway died Saturday, May 29, 2010 in Newark. He was born September 17, 1927 in Dresden to the late Myrl and Isabel (Wagner) Untied.

Mr. Untied served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He had worked as a carpenter and was a member of the Ohio Carpenters Union. He was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W. and Eagles. He had been a parishioner of St. Ann Church in Dresden.

He is survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Frances (King)Hickey; children, James (Rebecca) Untied, Steve (Sharon) Untied, Judy (Thomas) Whitmire, Mary Ann Hale, and Lynn (Michael) Holland; step-children, David Thomas, Roger (Gwen) Thomas, Carol Thomas; a step-daughter in-law, Ginny Thomas; brothers, William, Wayne, Donald, and Ike; a sister, Mary; and many grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith R. (Thomas) Untied; brothers, Richard and Everett; and a sister Margaret.

Friends and family may visit from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the DRESDEN CHAPEL of VENSIL-ORR & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 714 Main St., Dresden.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann Church, 405 Chestnut St., Dresden, with Father Jack Maynard, celebrant.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Cooperdale.
