FRAZEYSBURG ? Charles M. Satterfield, 94, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday morning, April 18, 2008 at Summerville at North Hills in Zanesville, Ohio. Born November 28, 1914 in Hopewell Township of Perry County, he was the son of the late Theodore T. and Mary S. (Hartsough) Satterfield and was a 1931 graduate of Thornville High School. Mr. Satterfield was a self-employed farmer, salesman, builder, realtor and grocer. He was also a former employee of the Hanover Farmers Exchange and Hanover Bowerston Shale Company. Mr. Satterfield was a member of the Newark Bible Church. Surviving is his wife, Hazel (Miller) Powell Satterfield whom he married January 10, 1975; a son, Donald (Jane) Satterfield of Newark; Hazel?s daughters, Phyllis (Dick) Biller of Zanesville, Marti (Larry) Shrigley of Pataskala, Ohio and Wanda (David) Schweitzer of Dresden, Ohio; a sister, Grace Snyder of Columbus, Ohio; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille (Goodlet) Satterfield; a son, John Satterfield; a daughter, Charlotte McMannis; five brothers, Cecil, Franklin, Robert, Leroy and Wilbur and two sisters, Irena and Hazel. Calling hours will be from 11am to 1pm Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the funeral home with Mr. Satterfield?s nephew, Pastor Ted Satterfield officiating. Burial will be in Olivet Brethren Cemetery near Thornville, Ohio.
