Charles R. Robison, 85, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Wednesday morning, August 2, 2017 at his home.
Born April 18, 1932 in Cass Township, Muskingum County, he was a son of the late Ralph S. Robison, Sr. and Susan (McGinnis) Robison. Charles was a 1950 graduate of Frazeysburg High School and he proudly served our country in the U. S. Marines during the Korean War. He retired in 1992 from Owens-Corning Fiberglas where he was a machine tender. He was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church; Wakatomika Post #6193, VFW of Frazeysburg; Frazeysburg Lodge #490, F. & A. M. and was a former member of the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving is his loving wife of 66 years, Lila Lee (Riley) Robison whom he married March 12, 1951; one son, Steven M. (Linda) Robison of Dresden, Ohio; one daughter, Marty A. (Graham Trainer) Chaney of Granville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kenny (Natalie) Chaney, Laura (John) Sines, Beth (Jason) Braddock and Charles Robison; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Robison, Jr., Herbert Robison and John Robison; five sisters, Ethel Newcome, Betty Corder, Jean Waggoner, Clare Belle Martin and Blanche Robison.
Calling hours will be 3pm to 7pm Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Frazeysburg Lodge 490 will conduct Masonic services at 7pm, or following calling hours, on Sunday at the funeral home. There will also be calling hours for one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, August 7, 2017 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
