A funeral service for Charles Robert ?Rob? Thompson, 32 of Newark will be held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Young officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Thompson died Wednesday July 19, 2006 in Newark. He was born March 24, 1974 in Newark, Ohio to Rick and Sherry (Favor) Thompson of Newark. Rob attended Newark High School and Heath High School. He attended Central Christian Church. He enjoyed music and playing cards. He was an avid football fan for the 49er?s. In addition to his parents he is survived by grandparents, Bob (Bonnie) Thompson of Heath, Irene Favor of Rancho Cordova, CA.; brother, Chad Richard Thompson of Newark; sister-in-law, Jenifer Brooke Smith of Newark; nephew, Anthony Richard Vittorio Thompson of Newark; aunts & uncles, Larry (Donna) Thompson of Newark, Tim (Kelly) Thompson of Newark, Jerry (Diane) Goldstein of Fresno, CA., Kathi (Bob) Saudo, Southbury, CT., Ric Clarkson of Truckee, CA., Lee (Kay) Edgerly of Rancho Cordova, CA. and several cousins. He was preceded in death by grandmother Velma Quimby and grandfather, Clifford Favor. Calling hours will be observed Friday 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
