Charles ?Mitch? Mox, 81, of Zanesville, died Friday afternoon July 11, 2003 in Morrison House Hospice. Mr. Mox was born October 10, 1921 in Muskingum County a son of the late Alvin L. and Eura (Finley) Mox. He was a 1942 graduate of Adamsville High School, and served in the US Army, European Theatre during WWII. Mr. Mox was a member of VFW Post #1058, life member of Cootie Post 1058, American Legion Post 246 in Duncan Falls, life member of the NRA and the Golden Eagles Club. In 1980 he retired from Armco Steel as a turn foreman. He had attended Adamsville U. Methodist Church. Surviving are his sister, Hazel Hatfield of Adamsville and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean Mox, whom he married January 26, 1946 on Feb. 21, 1987, and two brothers, Paul and Kenneth Mox. Friends may call 2-4PM & 7-9PM Sunday July 13, 2003 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Adamsville, where services will be held at 2PM Monday with Pastor Bracken Foster officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adamsville U. Methodist Church, or Genesis Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
