Charles Wayne Middlemus, 89, of Lancaster, Ohio died Thursday morning, January 1, 2015 at the Main Street Terrace Care Center in Lancaster.
Born September 24, 1925 in Frazeysburg, Ohio he was the son of the late A. J. (Si) and Arsula (Anderson) Middlemus and was a 1943 graduate of Union High School. He was an Army veteran having served in Germany during World War II. Mr. Middlemus was a livestock salesman for Producers Livestock of Lancaster and he was a shipping clerk at Stuck Mold Works for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he raised and trained Border Collie sheep dogs since 1949.
Surviving is a son, Mark (Angie Foster) Middlemus of Frazeysburg; two daughters, Molly (Morad) Saheli of Lancaster and Mindy Heston of Central Ohio; two grandchildren, Mesbah (Holly) Saheli and Massih Saheli; two great grandchildren, Mason and Micah Saheli; a sister, Esther Mizer of Columbus and a niece Linda K. Mizer of Columbus.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Dora Mae (Kerr) Middlemus whom he married May 24, 1956 and who died May 15, 2011 and a sister, Ruth Smith.
Calling hours will be from Noon to 3pm Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday January 4, 2015 at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Mesnard officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Hospice of Central Ohio.
