Charles Lavallen "Chuck" Hastings, 60 of Zanesville passed away Saturday August 29, 2020 at the Genesis Hospital. He was born February 27, 1960 in Zanesville to Frank W. and Mary A. (Smith) Hastings.

Charles was employed by Acorn Farms in Zanesville and a former employee at Ogeechee Railway in Dover, GA. He liked spending time fishing and caring for his lawn. He was an Eagles fan and enjoyed playing his guitar. He was the life of the party and loved everyone. His favorite pastime was being with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Christine  S. (Moore) Hastings, whom he married September 24, 1978; daughters, Christina (Jody) Scott, Rhonda (Zac) Hastings; son, Charles E. Hastings; grandchildren, Justin, Jr., Elizabeth, Zoe, Dora, Nova, Patience, Joseph, Charles, Jr.; sister, Mary (Kenny) Riehl; brothers, Lincoln (Lori), Stanley (Ruthie), Leonard, Roy (Kathy), Michael Hastings; a sister in-law, Jane Hastings and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by siblings, Rob, Dave, Frank, James, Eva and Francis Hastings.

Visitation will be observed Monday, August 31, 2020 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home 714 Main Street, Dresden.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday August 31, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Blair officiating.
