NASHPORT - Charles “Charlie” William McNaught, 82 of Nashport, Ohio died early Wednesday morning, January 14, 2026 at Cedar Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Zanesville.
Born July 10, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the only son of the late Walter Clifton and Beatrice Mae (Wheeler) McNaught and a 1961 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Charlie was a Presbyterian by faith and a member of New Home Masonic Lodge #338. He was a licensed pilot, enjoyed flying his own plane, and a past member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA). Charlie was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved his family and cherished every moment he could with them.
Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Sharon (Massengill) McNaught whom he married October 22, 1965; daughter in-law, Gina McNaught of Heath; two grandchildren, Abbey (Jake) Parsil of Newark and Bryson (Mackenzie Abbati) McNaught of Chazy, NY; great grandson, Mason McNaught and great granddaughter Rylee Parsil on the way. Also surviving is a sister in-law, Elizabeth Massengill.
In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Lee McNaught who died unexpectantly December 6, 2024.
Family and friends may call 6 PM to 8 PM on Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil | Wagner | Marshall Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:30 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at the funeral home with Chaplain Matthew Dye officiating.
Charlie will be laid to rest in Irville Cemetery.
