NEWARK ? Funeral services for Charles E. Boggs, 71, of St. Louisville, Ohio will be 11:00am Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Irville Cemetery, Nashport, Ohio. Mr. Boggs died Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark. Born February 24, 1937 in Champaign County, Ohio, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (Griffith) Boggs. Mr. Boggs was formerly employed as a tree trimmer with Karl Kuemmenling Tree Service and he retired from the street department with the City of Heath. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving is his wife, Eloise I. (Bay) Boggs, whom he married September 6, 1958; two sons, Dan Boggs and Dave (Jane) Boggs, both of St. Louisville; one daughter, Debbie Boggs of Newark; six grandchildren, Michele Johnson, Jason Johnson, Holly Boggs, Austin Boggs, Levi Boggs and Ellie Boggs; one great granddaughter, Olivia Grace Dutiel; one brother, Roger (Loretta) Boggs of Newark; two sisters, Carol Joy and Olive Boggs, both of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Edgar and Dick Boggs.
