Charlene K. Prince, 73, of Trinway, Ohio passed away Thursday afternoon, August 8, 2013 at her home surrounded by those who loved her.
Born January 6, 1940 in Trinway she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Edna E. (Easley) Rogers Swank and was a 1958 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. She also graduated from the Good Samaritan School of Nursing in 1961 Charlene was a registered nurse and worked for Good Samaritan Medical Center for 35 years. She also worked in the employee health center of the Longaberger Company for 12 years and she retired in 2013 from Genesis Hospice. She was a member of the Trinway United Methodist Church and she loved music and traveling.
Surviving is her loving husband, Gene M. Prince whom she married November 14, 1959; four children, Michael Prince of Trinway, Annette (Perry) Woerner of Nashport, Angela (Randy) Stotts of Dresden and Matthew Prince of Dresden; nine grandchildren, Kristin Prince, Casie Prince, Morgan Prince, Megan Woerner, Thomas Woerner, Mallory (James) Vansickle, Brooke Stotts, Alyssa Stotts and Braden Stotts; ten great grandchildren; a special sister in-law, Toni Prince of Dresden; a special friend, Joan Poland of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.
The Prince family would like to express a very special "thank you" to Genesis Hospice nurse Wendy Burkhart and to Chaplain Tim Patton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas W. Rogers and a great granddaughter, Kadence Prince.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, August 12, 2013 at the funeral home with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
