NEWARK : A funeral service for Charlene V. Knepper, 70 of Newark will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating.

Mrs. Knepper died Friday morning at her home. She was born November 3, 1942 in Newark to the late Charles E. and Virginia M. (McLeish) Murphy. A beautician by trade, Mrs. Knepper had worked for the John J. Carroll Department Store and Meijer. She was a member of Wright Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Knepper enjoyed traveling with her late husband.

Survivors include her children, Diane (Dan) Glass, David (Stefani) Knepper, all of Newark; grandchildren, Hayley Glass, Cory Glass, Tyler Knepper, and Courtney Knepper; and a sister, Patricia (Willie) Webster.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Knepper was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Jack T. Knepper, whom she married October 22, 1967 and who died July 21, 2007; and a brother Richard D. Murphy.

Friends and family may call two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
