ADAMSVILLE ? Cecyl M. Brewer, 89, formerly of Adamsville, Ohio died at 5:55pm Monday, July 30, 2007 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice, Zanesville, Ohio. Born April 5, 1918 in Cumberland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Lillie (Perkins) Bickford and was a homemaker. Surviving is three sons, Robert (Jean) Brewer of Glenford, Marvin (Deanie) Brewer of Racine, WV and Gale (Kyla) Brewer of Newark; four daughters, Becky Burk of Chandlersville, Jean (Earl) Roles of Glen Daniel, WV, Rita (Paul) Davis of Newark and Sharon (Rick) Peterson of Frazeysburg; two brothers, Bill (Nadine) Bickford of Cumberland and Wayne (Mary) Bickford of Wrenrock, WV; forty grandchildren; seventy-one great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Brewer, whom she married July 17, 1935 and who died December 23, 1989; five sons, Merle, Jim, Jack, John and Dale Brewer; four brothers, Wade, Jim, Walter and Herman Bickford; four sisters, Mary Wilson, Leora Knapp, Nellie Crawford and Pauline Miller; four grandchildren, Shane Brewer, Art Brewer, Opal (Gidget) Heagan and Gayla Burk; three daughters in-law, Kay Brewer, Lucille Brewer and Donna Brewer and one son in-law, Al Burk. Calling hours will be 5 to 9pm Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 8005 East Street. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Adamsville Baptist Cemetery.
