Carol M. Starner, 89, of Nashport, Ohio died Thursday evening, September 15, 2016 at Genesis Hospital emergency room with her loving family at her side.
Born January 13, 1927 in Zanesville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Leo and May (Smith) Bebout and was a 1945 graduate of Newark High School. Mrs. Starner enjoyed camping, gardening and baking.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia (James) Adams of Zanesville and Deborah A. (Jeff) Earnest of Frazeysburg; two sons, Andrew Mark (Heather) Starner of Hanover, Ohio and James Robert Starner of Zanesville; six grandchildren, Kevin Clark, Mike (Heather) Maxwell, Kim (Ambarish) Lulay, Karen (Shane) Love, Mark Starner and Dylan Starner and six great grandchildren, Ashly, Austin, Gage, Mason, Michael and Jaxson. Also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Lee of Newark, Ohio and Violet Mehl of Burleson, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Starner whom she married August 22, 1948 and who died November 25, 1997; a daughter, Diann Kay Starner; two sisters, Mary Jane Johnson and Roseann Crawmer and two brothers, Donald Bebout and Edward Bebout.
Calling hours will be NOON to 1pm Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
