Obituary

A funeral service for Carol E. Park, 82 of Dresden will be held Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Gates, III officiating. Burial will be in the Dresden Cemetery.

Mrs. Park died Wednesday August 6, 2014 at the Cedar Hill Care Center. She was born October 14, 1931 in Dresden to the late Leslie and Thelma (Marvin) Graves.

Mrs. Park was a member of the Zanesville First Church of the Nazarene and a charter member of the Dresden Church of the Nazarene. She was actively involved with church activities throughout her life. She served in many capacities in the Sunday School and played the piano and organ. She was a former weaver for the Longaberger Company.
She is survived by three children, Diana (Jeff) Rushlow of Brookings, Oregon, Gary (Debie) Park of Dresden, Cheryl "Charie" (Mike) Tatro of Zanesville; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Lowe of Zanesville; brother, Dale (Aloma) Graves of Dresden; sister-in-laws, Bernice Farmer of Nashport, Rose Farmer of Berea, OH; special friends, Candice and Stacey; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard "Len" Park on December 9, 2011; two brothers, Gene Farmer and Raymond Farmer.

Calling hours will be observed Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the Dresden Chapel of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 714 Main St. Dresden.
