FRAZEYSBURG â?? Carol Ann Lupher, 73, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Wednesday morning, June 16, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville after a lengthy illness.
Born October 5, 1936 in Louisville, Ohio in Stark County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Elsie (Rastetter) Sarchet and was a 1954 graduate of Union High School. She retired in 1997 from the United States Postal Service where she had been a letter carrier for 22 years from the Frazeysburg Post Office. Carol was a member of Perry Chapel Baptist Church of Warsaw. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at the VFW Hall in Frazeysburg and she loved working outside in her flower gardens and doing landscaping. But mostly, she enjoyed taking care of her husband, Bob.
Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Robert â??Docâ? David Lupher, Sr., whom she married June 12, 1954; three sons, Robert â??Bobbyâ? Lupher, Jr. of Frazeysburg, Wesley â??Budâ? (Marsha) Lupher of Nashport and Wayne (Christina) Lupher of Newark; one daughter, Mary (Jerry) Farmer of Zanesville; two brothers, Dick (Deanna) Sarchet of Nashport and Walt â??Sonnyâ? (Wilda) Sarchet of Frazeysburg; one sister, Sharon (Chris) Myers of South Dakota; two brothers in-law, Miles â??Tadâ? (Norma) Lupher of Warsaw and Bill (Barb) Lupher of Frazeysburg; a sister in-law, Shirley Fowls of Bladensburg; twelve grandchildren, Amy, Terri, Melissa, Josh, Carrie, Robbie, Chase, Samantha, Rachelle, Kaycie, Kelcie and Landa; five great grandchildren, Taylor, Parker, Jerin, Emme, and Baby Hindel and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Sarchet, a sister in-law, Josephine Sarchet and a brother in-law, Blaine Fowls.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:30pm Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Perry Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. David Fowls officiating. Burial will be in Perry Chapel Baptist Cemetery.
