Obituary
Carol Lynn Cody, 61, of Dresden, Ohio died late Friday evening, May 27, 2016 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. Her death was just 33 minutes before her 62nd birthday.
Born May 28, 1954 in New Lexington, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Willard Reed and Nita (Buckley) Reed of Dresden and she was a 1972 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Carol operated Bay's Bait and Tackle of Dresden. Previously she was a cook at the Dresden Senior Center and was an employee of the Dresden IGA. She enjoyed reading and being with her family.
Surviving is one daughter, Susan McPherson of Dresden; two sons, Jon (Arena) Bay of Zanesville and Ethan (Alyssa) Bay of Trinway, Ohio; six grandchildren, Keaton Reed, Brandon Reed, Cody Reed, Tayler Bay, Quinn Bay and Lucas Bay; three sisters, Karen (Tom) Crawford of Dresden, Barbara (Jack) Lloyd and Nancy Reed, both of Zanesville; a brother, Danny Reed of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Cody.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the funeral home. Carol will be laid to rest beside her husband, Tim, in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
