Funeral services for Carol Lynne Burris, 51, of Athens, Ohio, formerly of Frazeysburg, Ohio will be at 1:00pm Monday, January 17, 2005 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with the Rev. David Fowls officiating. Burial will be in Perry Chapel Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Burris died Thursday morning, January 13, 2005 at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. Born November 4, 1953 in Newark, Ohio, she was the daughter of Anna (Daugherty) Wemmer Chapman of Jacksonville, Ohio and the late Carel Wemmer. She was a 1972 graduate of Licking Valley High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Burris was a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church and she enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. Surviving, in addition to her mother, is her step-father, Jay Chapman; her husband, James F. Burris; one son, James N. (Rebecca) Burris of Newark; one grandson, Christian Burris; one brother, Ricky C. (Tammey Myers) Wemmer of Newark; two aunts, Dee Cook of Jacksonville and Lula Campbell of Glouster, Ohio; her mother in-law, Lillian Burris of Newark; and many cousins and friends. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 9pm Sunday, January 16, 2004 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street, Frazeysburg.
