FRAZEYSBURG ? Carl F. Ikehorn, 89, of Newark, Ohio died at 4:15pm Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at his home. Born January 10, 1914 in Nashport, Ohio, he was the son of John S. and Fay (Van Horn) Ikehorn and was a 1931 graduate of Nashport High School. Mr. Ikehorn was a retired self-employed residential and commercial builder and later was involved in real estate sales and oil leasing. He is a member of the Nashport United Methodist Church, Irville Lodge #184, F. & A. M., the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Eighteen District Past Masters? Association, and was a former member and Past Patron of the Order of Eastern Star. Surviving is one son, Fred S. (Katie) Ikehorn of Newark; one daughter, Jeannette (Ernest) Scott of Newark; one step-daughter, Linda (Gary) Brock of Zanesville, Ohio; two grandsons, Justin Ikehorn and Paul Ikehorn, both of Newark; and two step-grandsons, Jason Brock of Zanesville and Jeff Brock of Columbus, Ohio. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Esther A. (Myers) Ikehorn on December 10, 1982 and his second wife, Marianne (Pendleton) Ikehorn on September 12, 1997. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Sunday, September 14, 2003 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg, Ohio. Irville Lodge #184, F. & A. M. will conduct Masonic services at 6:30pm Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, September 15, 2003 at the Nashport United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Memorial Fund, care of HCR Manor Care Foundation, Post Office Box 10086, Toledo, Ohio 43699-0086. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
