Carl Emerson Echelberry, 76, of Adamsville, Ohio died Tuesday afternoon, April 9, 2013 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born July 30, 1936 in Zanesville he was a son of the late Ralph and Hazel (Blackford) Echelberry. Mr. Echelberry was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was one of the founders of Heaven's Gate Cemetery near Adamsville. He enjoyed outdoor activities and woodworking, but his greatest enjoyment was his grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife, Rosan (Bowden) Echelberry whom he married November 7, 1970; three daughters, Kimberly (Ron) Madden of Adamsville, Kristina (Jerry) Rochowiak of Temperance, Michigan and Kelly (Shawn) Lasko of Scenacaville, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob and Mikala Madden, Isabel and Isaac Rochowiak, Hayden, Layken and Emeri Lasko; two brothers, William "Bud" (Lillie) Echelberry of Adamsville and Leroy (Janice) Echelberry of Zanesville; two sisters, Helen Garrison of Southington, Ohio and Marie (Robert) Wilson of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessie May Madden and a sister Dorothy Harmon.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Salem United Methodist Church, Norfield Road at Salem Church Road, Zanesville, Ohio
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, April 12, 2013 at the church with the Rev. Roger Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Heaven's Gate Cemetery.
