FRAZEYSBURG ? Chester Conwell Shipley, 87, of Sylmar, California died Saturday, January 3, 2004 in Sylmar. Born March 10, 1916 in Nashport, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph B. Shipley and N. Olive Berkshire Shipley Claypool and was a graduate of Toboso High School. Mr. Shipley retired from National Cash Register Company after 44 years of service and had served in the U. S. Coast Guard for three years during World War II. Surviving are his wife, June (Lemmon) Shipley, whom he married September 19, 1940; two sons, David Shipley of the home and Stephen (Pamela) Shipley of Goodyear, Arizona; a grandson, Brandon Shipley; step grandson, Phillip Pecora; great granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Shipley and step great granddaughter, Ashleanua Pecora. A private burial will be held at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
