Charles H. ?Herb? Johnson, 80, of 107 North State Street, Frazeysburg, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior at 5:50pm Wednesday, December 4, 2002 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born May 26, 1922 in Cass Township of Muskingum County, he was a 1941 graduate of Frazeysburg High School and was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Johnson retired in 1985 from Rockwell International of Heath. He also owned and operated Johnson?s Market and Marine of Frazeysburg and was a concessionaire at Dillon State Park for many years. He was a member of the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church; Frazeysburg Lodge #490, F. & A. M. for over 50 years; a 32nd degree Mason; and the Dresden American Legion. He was a former member of the Frazeysburg Lions Club, Frazeysburg Order of Eastern Star and the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department. Active in county politics, he was a Republican central committeeman for many years. Surviving is his wife, Marjorie C. (Swope) Johnson, whom he married September 21, 1947; two daughters and sons in-law, Regina and Randy McNabb of Nashport, Ohio, and Tamara and Mike Williams of Frazeysburg; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Johnson, Sr. and Rosa Belle (Untied) Johnson; and a sister, Grace Powelson. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Friday, December 6, 2002 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, Frazeysburg, with Masonic services being conducted at 6:30pm by Frazeysburg Lodge #490. Funeral services will be 1:30pm Saturday, December 7, 2002 at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home
