Bryce L. Lapp, 85, of Adamsville, died Friday morning, March 31, 2006 in Adamsville of an apparent heart attack. Mr. Lapp was born March 27, 1921 in Adams Township, a son of the late Floyd M. and Hallie M. (Shirer) Lapp. He was a life long farmer and a member of the Muskingum County Cattleman?s Association, Muskingum County Farm Bureau where he served on the Advisory Council 5A, ASCS committee for nine years, and served on the Board at Landmark. Mr. Lapp was a life long member of the New Hope Lutheran Church in Adamsville where he served on the Church Council for 53 years and was presently a trustee for the New Hope Cemetery. He was a founding member of the Adamsville Community Fire Department and the Adamsville Progressive Council. He enjoyed hunting, especially coon hunting. Surviving are his wife, Lillie Belle (McHenry) Lapp, whom he married June 17, 1942; one son, Larry (Deborah) Lapp of Zanesville; one daughter, Linda (Carl) Vernon of Adamsville; five grandchildren, Lee (JoAnn) Lapp, Melissa (Pat) Nash, Rob (Bobbi) Vernon, Rich (Leslie) Vernon and Ryan (Shannon) Vernon; nine great grandchildren, Sydney Lapp, Cody Kelly, Jessica Nash, Bryce Vernon, Jack Nash, Cutter Vernon, Garrett Lapp, Tanner Vernon and Brielle Vernon. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Lapp; two sisters, Lillie May Funk and Doris Fitzgerald; four great grandchildren, Lacey Lapp and the Vernon triplets. Friends may call 1:00-3:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM Sunday April 2, 2006 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM Monday April 3, 2006 at the New Hope Lutheran Church in Adamsville with Rev. Diana Gugel officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
