Bruce P. Thomas

Bruce P. Thomas, 84, of Dresden, died Tuesday evening, April 14, 2026, at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.

Born March 25, 1942, in Zanesville, a son of the late Percil O. And Eva P. (Jones) Thomas and a 1960 graduate of Crooksville High School. Bruce was a United States Army Veteran. He worked in shipping at The Longaberger Company and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church – Dresden. He appreciated anything outdoors, he was an avid deer hunter, and enjoyed watching the birds with his wife, Linda, on their porch.

Surviving are his two daughters, Penny E. Gregorich and Angie M. (Patrick) Newman; daughter-in-law, Amy Thomas; five grandchildren, Kiana, Shelby, Addison, Aiden, and Clayton; great grandchild, Kavan; a brother, Steven B. (Melissa) Thomas; an aunt, Alice Jones; two brothers-in-law, Rick B. (Diane) Smith and William R. (Marsha) Smith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda I. (Smith) Thomas, who died November 4, 2025, and a son, John B. Thomas.

Family and friends may visit from 11:00am till the time of service at 1:00pm, Monday, April 20, 2026, at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil | Wagner | Marshall Funeral Home, 714 Main Street, Dresden.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, on Monday, April 20, 2026, with Mr. Frosty Pierce officiating.

Bruce will be laid to rest next to his wife Linda, at Dresden Cemetery.
