A funeral service for Bruce W. Adams, 61 of Newark will be held Sunday September 23, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Cory Campbell officiating.

Mr. Adams died Wednesday September 19, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 24, 1956 in Newark to Donald W. and Sue E. (Wood) Adams.

He was employed 36 years at Tamarack Dairy. He was a member of Teamsters Local # 413. He loved golf. He was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and a loyal fan to the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He enjoyed fishing. He could easily be described as a devoted family man. He loved his wife, children and treasured his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra K. (Camp) Adams, whom he married July 24, 1976; children, Melinda (Adams) Vanwey, Stephanie (Josh) Hatfield, Scott (Rebecca) Adams; brother, Neal (Robyn) Adams; grandchildren, Samuel, Aiden, Jack, Cole, Slater; niece, Traci (Tim) Myers; nephew, Jason Adams all of Newark.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Craig Steven Adams.

A visitation will be observed Saturday September 22, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME 1850 W. Main St. The family asks friends wear their OSU attire.

The family requests memorial contributions to Generation Hospice 1435A West Main Street Newark, OH 43055. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
