Obituary

Bonnie Jean Longaberger, 100, of Dresden, died Sunday morning, November 23, 2008 at Autumn Healthcare of Coshocton. Mrs. Longaberger was born July 16, 1908 in Trinway, a daughter of the late David and Annabelle (Fisher) Gist. A life-long area resident, she was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church and had been a member of the United Methodist Women. Surviving are her children, Wendy (Bob) Little of Dresden, Jerry (Donna) Longaberger of Dresden, Larry Longaberger of Hanover, Richard (JoAnne) Longaberger of Dresden, Mary Ann (Wendell) McCafferty of Frazeysburg, Judy Swope of Dresden, Ginny Wilcox of Dresden, Gary (Lynn) Longaberger of Zanesville, Carmen (Ron) Fortney of Dresden, Jeff (Jane) Longaberger of Dresden; 33 grandchildren, 100 great grandchildren, 10 great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Longaberger on April 10, 1973; a son, Dave Longaberger and a daughter, Genevieve Hard; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Longaberger, sons-in-law Jan Swope, Dick Wilcox and Robert Hard, a sister, Genevieve Gist and her brothers, George, Bill, Russell, Carl and James Gist. Friends may call 4PM-8PM Tuesday November 25, 2008 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at the Dresden United Methodist Church with Pastor Max Williams officiating. Private interment will follow in the Longaberger Family Cemetery. This fund was established in 2002 to alleviate hunger for individuals and families in need, especially in Muskingum County, Ohio, Grandma Bonnie?s lifelong home.
