Billie E. Denner, 80, of Granville, OH, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, OH. He was born October 9, 1939, in Seymour, MO, to the late Roy and Lida (Ertel) Denner.
Bill was the third youngest of 13 children and a graduate of Seymour High School, where he lettered in basketball. He moved to Ohio where he met his wife, Constance (Varner) Denner, to whom he was married for almost 58 years. He graduated from Ohio Technical College. Bill retired from Lucent Technologies in 1999. He attended Southgate Church of Christ, where he went on numerous mission trips and served as the pig roast "Master Chef" for many years. Bill was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed help. He was a jack-of-all-trades and helped to renovate more than one of his daughters' houses.
He was very involved in his daughters' lives, attending many horse shows and basketball games. He kept up this involvement with his grandchildren, traveling the state to watch soccer games, football games and swim meets. He also loved fishing, golfing and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Connie (Varner) Denner; daughters, Erica Denner of Baltimore, MD, Erin Denner of Jacksonville, FL, and Bevin (Doug) Morgan of Westerville, OH; four grandchildren, Taylor, Alexander, Kelsey and Mackenzie; great-granddaughter, Raeya; niece, Samantha Varner; brother, Duane Denner; and sister, Mae Fine; along with numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by six brothers, four sisters, and his grandson, Andrew.
No public services are scheduled at this time.
