Obituary
Betty M. Wright, 84, of Dresden, Ohio died Friday morning, April 6, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
Born January 1, 1928 in Parkersburg, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Susie I. (Johnson) Melrose and was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson High School in Dresden. Mrs. Wright was a former employee of the Indianapolis Glove Company and she retired from Edmont-Wilson of Coshocton, Ohio. She enjoyed crocheting and being with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Gill of Middleton, Delaware and Tamie Wright of Dresden; six grandchildren, James (Judy) Gill, Amy (Doug) Jones, Heather (Reggie) Bergman, Christopher (Rhianna) Boggs, August (Billie) Perry and Brian (Tiffany) Boggs; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister Carol Bice of Dresden and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Terry E. Wright; two brothers, William and Jerry Melrose and four sisters, Marion Smith, Mary Lehman, Orpha Noland and Clara Wright.
Calling hours will be from Noon to 2pm Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, April 9, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. Casey Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
