Betty C. Wisecarver, 88, of Adamsville, Ohio died Sunday morning, July 15, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born March 30, 1924 in Zanesville she was a daughter of the late Blaine A. and Anna R. (Estadt) Warren.
Mrs. Wisecarver was a retired postal clerk from the Adamsville Post Office with over 30 years of service. She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church and she enjoyed crocheting and working crossword puzzles. She was an avid sports fans and especially enjoyed baseball and the Cincinnati Reds.
Surviving are three sons, Larry L. (Sharon) Wisecarver and Richard A. (Christine) Wisecarver of Adamsville and Danny L. (Carol) Wisecarver of Dresden; two daughters, Sue E. (Jeffrey) Basehart of Adamsville and Lori Wisecarver of Cambridge, Ohio; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Wisecarver of Adamsville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Wisecarver whom she married September 16, 1945 and who died March 12, 1995; a brother Walton Warren; a sister Juanita Warren and a brother in-law, Walter Wisecarver.
Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. Mary Molnar officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Adamsville.
