FRAZEYSBURG ? Betty Lou Leas, 80, of 5660 Cass Irish Ridge Road, Dresden, Ohio, died at 2:00am Monday, January 19, 2004 at her home. Born May 5, 1923 in Frazeysburg, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Ivan C. and Eva A. (Smith) Stokes and was a 1941 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Mrs. Leas was a homemaker and was a Tupperware manager and sales person for many years. She was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Zanesville and was a Charter member of the Frazeysburg Fifty Club. Surviving is her husband of 61 years, Robert M. Leas, whom she married July 27, 1942; one son, Richard (Judy) Leas of Dresden; three daughters, Patricia (Jack) Boyd of Zanesville, Ohio, Marsha (Randy) Tigner of Dresden and Annette (Dan) Newcome of Nashport, Ohio; three brothers, Ivan (Audrey) Stokes of Dresden, Don (Christine) Stokes of Palmer, Pennsylvania and Bob (Joyce) Stokes of Ashland, Ohio; two sisters, Jean Oravis and Joanne (Carroll) Bumpus, both of Frazeysburg; thirteen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Stokes and two sisters, Janice Riley and Kathryn Frazier. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, January 22, 2004 at the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church, 87 West Second Street, Frazeysburg, with Rev. Robert Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made to the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 545 Richey Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
