Betty J. King, 91 of Johnstown was peacefully called home April 27, 2025 to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family's love.

Betty was born February 25, 1934 in West Virginia to the late John and Eula Price.  She was a life-long member of Concord Liberty Baptist Church.

A graduate of Alexandria High School, Betty retired from Tech International.

Betty was a loving wife to the late Lloyd R. "Dick" King; a devoted mother to her son, David (Nicole) King; a wonderful grandmother to Abby (Hunter) Nickell and Zach King; and a sister in-law to Robert McNamee; as well as an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Robert Price, James Price, Buell Price; and two sisters, Roberta Johnson and Joyce McNamee.

Betty lived a life of small joys, big faith and endless love – the kind of life that quietly leaves the world a softer place.

Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Potts officiating.  Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery, Johnstown.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
