A funeral service for Betty Mae Coble Stockwell Lampton, of Mt. Perry will be held Friday, September 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor John A. Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brownsville, Ohio.Mrs. Lampton died Wednesday September 14, 2005 at the Newark Healthcare Centre. She was born February 13, 1924 in Licking County to the late Floyd and Fernie (Cooperrider) Coble.She is survived by her husband, Alvie ?Bill? Lampton, with whom they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 20, 2005; daughter Sharon ?Sherry? (Stockwell) and Ray Gillespie of Zanesville; son, Dale Edward and Debbie Lampton of Brownsville; sister, Geneva Thomas of Newark; brother, Charles Lee (Nancy) Coble of Brownsville; four grandchildren, Jessica (Josh) Bobo of Gratiot, Tricia (Bill) Allen of Philo, Jonathan (Kim) Gillespie of Zanesville, Wendy Gillespie of Zanesville; six great grandchildren, Anthony Gillespie, Grace Schooley, Kristen and Hannah Allen, Taylor and Madison Bobo; several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Lampton a homemaker was employed for several years as a substitute cook in the West Muskingum School District at the Hopewell Grade School. She also had worked at Continental Can. Mrs. Lampton attended the Brownsville United Methodist Church. She was involved with the Brownsville Senior Citizens Group. She was a former member of the Franklin Grange and the National Trails Vol. Fire Dept. Flamettes.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Stockwell who died in 1950; brothers, Franklin D. Coble and Kenneth Coble.Calling hours will be observed Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street, Newark.Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O.
