A private graveside funeral service will be held for Betty J. Bennett, 81, of St. Louisville, with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Bennett died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born Feb. 11,1926, in Pataskala, Ohio, to the late Ernest and Ruth(Tucker)Rader.Mrs. Bennett was a homemaker. She enjoyed raising flowers and caring for her pet canaries and parakeets.Mrs. Bennett is survived by daughter and son in law, Linda(Mike)Lowry, of St. Louisville; four grandsons, Scott(Misty)Lowry, Luke Lowry and fianc?e (Jen Shea), Dale Bennett,II, Derick Bennett; three great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Viola Kephart and Wanda Einert; sister-in-law, Ida Rader; several nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by husband of 43 years, David Bennett; son, Dale Bennett; brother, Ralph Rader; sister, June Smith; granddaughter, Debra Bennett.Calling hours will be observed from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home 1850 West Main Street.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road S.E., Newark, OH 43055-9925.
