Betty J. Alaimo, 80, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Friday evening, September 21, 2012 at Arlington Nursing Home in Newark, Ohio.
Born August 3, 1932 in Huntington, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Lesley and Gladys (Hodge) Spencer and was a graduate of Sandyhook High School in Sandyhook, Kentucky. Betty was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook and bake for her family and she especially enjoyed having her family with her during the holidays. She also had a passion for music and loved to sing.
Surviving are three sons, Greg (Kathy) Holbrook of Toboso, Ohio, Ronald (Beverly) Holbrook of West Carlisle, Ohio and Richard (Jan) Holbrook of North Carolina; one daughter, Cheree (Craig) Lybarger of Newark; three sisters, Linda Carver of Stanton, Virginia, Effie Sue Horsley of Columbus, Ohio and Lou Clevenger of Sandyhook, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Emmett Spencer.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Pennington officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
