FRAZEYSBURG ? Bernard E. Brailer, 82, of 6355 Brailer Lane, Nashport, Ohio, died at 9:40pm Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in the emergency room of Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born October 14, 1922 in Zanesville, he was the son of the late William A. and Lottie (Berkshire) Brailer and was 1940 graduate of Nashport High School. He was a Tech. Sergeant in the Army Air Corp and served during World War II. Mr. Brailer retired from the B & O and the CSX Railroad and was a former employee of the old Mosaic Tile Company of Zanesville. He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church at the Mattingly Settlement and was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Dresden. He enjoyed traveling and was a HAM Radio Operator and an amateur magician. Surviving is his wife, Joy L. (Archer) Brailer, whom he married November 24, 1949; five sons, Larry E. (Linda) Brailer, Ronald W. (Debbie) Brailer and Roger D. (Janet) Brailer, all of Nashport and Patrick A. (Betsy) Brailer and James D. Brailer, both of Columbus, Ohio; four daughters, Anita M. (Andy) Bebout of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Janet R. (Jay) Levings of Prospect, Ohio, Janice M. Hoover of Frazeysburg, Ohio and Linda L. (Marty) Bice of Dresden, Ohio; seventeen grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael L. Brailer and two sisters, Virginia Hindel and Dorothy Kilpatrick. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, February 11, 2005 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street Frazeysburg with Christian Wake services beginning at 8:00pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30am Saturday, February 12, 2005 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with Rev. Father Jack Maynard as celebrant. Burial will be in Mattingly Settlement Cemetery.
