Obituary

Berlin A. Cameron, 65, of Dresden, Ohio died Tuesday afternoon, March 21, 2017 at his home after a courageous 8 year battle with esophageal cancer.

Born January 3, 1952 in Zanesville, Ohio he was the son of the late Rolland "Jack" and Martha (Riley) Cameron and was a 1970 graduate of Tri-Valley High School where he lettered in football. He was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church and was currently serving Cass Township as Trustee.

Berlin was very active and loved to work. He worked for Sidwell Brothers, Central Ohio and Muskingum Mining and was a 22 year employee of the Longaberger Company where he worked in construction and as a semi driver. He also owned Cameron Septic Service. He enjoyed attending Tri-Valley sporting events, camping, family vacations at the beach and country music. Berlin will always be remembered for his quick wit and shenanigans. He was as legendary as the Christmas Story "leg lamp" and leaves us with enough stories to keep us laughing for many years.

Surviving is his loving wife and best friend, Nancy S. (Lapp) Cameron whom he married Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 1973; his children, Corry (Julie) Cameron and grandchildren, Lucas, Audrey and Drew; Adam Cameron and grandchildren Jack, Rayna and Tucker, and their mother, Anna Paul and Wesley (Chrissy Berkheimer) Cameron and her children, Ali and Gunner Hazen. Also surviving are his two sisters, Barbara (Rick) Trolsen of New Orleans, LA and her daughter, Kisha O'Donnell of Hilton Head, SC and Beverly Mahon and her daughters, Molly Mahon and Megan Baker, all of Dresden.

The Cameron family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the doctors and staff of Cleveland Clinic and Genesis Cancer Care Center for their excellent and loving care and a special thanks to Sister Bernadette for ministering to his soul.
