FRAZEYSBURG ? Benjamin Franklin ?Ben? Moran, 88, of 19114 Buck Hill Road, Frazeysburg, Ohio died at 2:11pm Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born May 16, 1914 in Fallsbury Township of Licking County, he was the son of the late Thomas and Louella (McKee) Moran and was the last of their twelve children. Mr. Moran was a farmer and a retired self-employed oil well driller. He enjoyed pulling ponies and was a member of the Ohio Pony Pullers Association and a former member of the Moose Lodge of Newark, Ohio. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy (Berry) Moran, whom he married August 12, 1950; four sons, Ronald F. Moran, and his special friend, Ann Gilbert of Newark, James R. (Kathy) Moran of Frazeysburg, Daniel W. (Eva) Moran of Newark, and Steve Moran of Frazeysburg; one daughter, Rose Jean (Larry) Harris of Newark; a daughter in-law, Mrs. Ronald F. (Phyllis) Moran of Frazeysburg; a step-son, Gary (Becky) Berry of Coshocton, Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Moran; seven brothers; and four sisters. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Friday, December 20, 2002 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the funeral home with Rev. David Fowls officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
