A funeral service for Barbara Wilson, 90 of Heath Ohio will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the Heath Church of Christ with David Linn and Dave Mason officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Barbara passed away on Tuesday April 25, 2023 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio.

She was born February 16, 1933 in Licking County to the late Walter L. and Ella (Beke) Andrews.

She was a 1951 graduate of Newark High School. In 1973, she saw an ad in the newspaper for LPN evening classes at night and signed up. She worked at the LPN Nursing Home in Newark as a Nurse's Aide until she earned her LPN license and continued her nursing career with the Flintridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She also was a former employee at Kroger's and Target.

She was a very active member of the Heath Church of Christ where she served in various volunteer roles. She served as a volunteer at The Licking Community Health Clinic for over 30 years. In 2019 she earned the Community Volunteer of The Year by the Charitable Health Care Network for the State of Ohio. She also volunteered at the Licking County Food Pantry for over 5 years.

She is a life member of the Newark Druids Club # 41, VFW #1060 Auxiliary and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly (Greg) Kesselring of Springfield, VA; very special friends Emma Campolo; Don and Angie Staggers; and an amazing church family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Wilson and a beloved canine companion Molly.
