Obituary
Barbara J. Thompson, 77, of East Liverpool, Ohio died Thursday evening, January 19, 2017 at The Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born March 21, 1939 in East Liverpool she was a daughter of the late Welcome and Lula (Brown) Mason and was a 1957 graduate of East Liverpool High School. Mrs. Thompson was a life-long resident of East Liverpool and was a proud "East Ender". She was a former sales clerk at Ogilvie's East and J. C. Penny stores. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of East Liverpool and the Red Hat Society and she enjoyed flower gardening. Her greatest enjoyment was her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchild.
Surviving are her children, Stewart L. (Peggy) Thompson and Sherrie (Gregg) Demetriadis, both of Warsaw, Ohio; two grandchildren, Hunter W. (Breann) Thompson and Hudson R. Thompson and a grandchild, Weston S. Thompson.
Also surviving is one brother Welcome Mason of East Liverpool.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Richard S. Thompson whom she married June 14, 1957 and who died June 5, 1999.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.
