A memorial service for Barbara J. Livingston, 89 of Granville will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street with Pastor Eric Miller officiating.  A visitation will be observed one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery.

Barbara passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at The Ohio State University Hospital – East. She was born April 10, 1933 in Neenah, WI to John and Nelda (Raehl) Nelson.

She had served as manager of Terrace Motel. She also had been a secretary at Rockwell International and Brock Insurance retiring in 2003.

Barbara in her youth participated in family camping and fishing trips to Lake Erie. She was very social visiting with people and being actively involved in Bingo games. She enjoyed dancing and music. She played the organ and was a fan of Elvis.

Survivors include her children, Jeffery J. (Rita) Schuhart of Nashport, Kenneth L. (Terry) Schuhart of Newark, Brook N. (Tracey) Livingston of Pickerington; sister, Doris Olt of Dayton; brother, Terry (Karen) Nelson of Heath; grandchildren, Michael (Brittney) Schuhart of Nashport, Amy (Gary) Dull of Beaverton, MI, Kyle Schuhart of Newark, Kelly (Mark) Curtis of Newark, Leigha Moran of Frazeysburg; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angel Livingston and brother-in-law, Donald Olt.
