FRAZEYSBURG ? Arthur D. Jones, 71, of Pickerington, Ohio, formerly of Dresden, died at 8:30am Friday, September 6, 2002 at Pickerington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pickerington, Ohio. Born February 24, 1931 in Zanesville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Arthur H. and Blanche (Billman) Jones. Mr. Jones was a U. S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Dresden First Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Owens-Corning Fiberglas of Newark and he owned and operated Art?s Marathon Service Station in Dresden for many years. Surviving are two daughters, Dixie (Randy) Hardesty of Kirkersville, Ohio, and Michelle (Mike) Coates of Orlando, Florida; three sisters, Elizabeth Noel of Nashport, Ohio, Helen (Francis) Garver of Dresden, and Blanche (Earl) Gill of Philo, Ohio; two brothers, Edward (Virginia) Jones of Dresden, and Robert (Carol) Jones of Clinton, Ohio; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, two brothers, John and Franklin Jones preceded him in death. Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm on Sunday, September 8, 2002 at Vensil-Orr Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg, Ohio. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, September 9, 2002 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Stone Cemetery.
