Private family services for Arthur B. Grigsby, Sr., 86 of Newark will be held at a later date.

Mr. Grigsby passed away on Sunday April 24, 2022.  He was born September 16, 1935 in Newark to Jason D. and Daisy M. (Andrews) Grigsby.

He was a loving father and grandfather and cherished time spent with his family. He retired after over 47 years at Owens-Corning Fiberglas as a chemical operator. He was a member of G M P Local 244. He was a longtime member of the Christ United Methodist Church. He took great pride in caring for his yard. He enjoyed the outdoors and feeding the birds.  He was happy being at home and working on projects.

He is survived by his daughter, Bettina (Fred) Allen who has cared for him in later years; grandchildren, Arthur B. (Ashley) Grigsby, III, Brent Grigsby, Mark D. George, Jr., Kaelynne R. Grigsby-Morgan & Nate, Marisa Grigsby; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Stemm of Newark; sister-in-law, Roma Grigsby of Newark; brothers-in-law, Ray (Harriet) Newell of Newark, Jeff Newell of Columbus; sister-in-law, Deborah Arn of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty R. (Newell) Grigsby in 2006; sons, Mark A. Grigsby, Arthur B. Grigsby, Jr.; siblings Edith Toothman, Bertha Stalling, Anna Updike, Alice Kidwell, Ruth Coakley, Sandra Grigsby, Walter Grigsby, Paul Grigsby, Jason Grigsby, Jr.
