Obituary

Arthur H. ?Art? Ridgley, 77, of Adamsville, died at 11:40AM Wednesday November 28, 2007 at Cedar Hill Care Center. Mr. Ridgley was born March 29, 1930 in Claysville, a son of the late Edgar and Clara (Lake) Ridgley. A Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a farmer and mechanic, working at Young GMC for many years. In 1962 he joined the Adamsville Community Fire Department and was an active member until he retired in 2006. He was a member of the Lake Street Church of Christ in Roseville and had been a member of the Farm Bureau Council 5A. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn (Hooper) Ridgley, two sons, Harold (Amy) Ridgley of Adamsville, Earl (Amy) Ridgley of Frazeysburg; a brother, Frederick (Wendy) Ridgley of Hilliard, sisters, Maxine Grubb of Morgan County, Mildred Lemon of Zanesville, Sandra (Bill) Roberts of Mt. Perry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Marion and Ralph and an infant brother, Harold Ridgley. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday November 30, 2007 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11AM Saturday with Delbert Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adamsville Fire Department, PO Box 305, Adamsville, OH 43802.
