FRAZEYSBURG – Arlene E. Vansickle, 88, formerly of Nashport, Ohio died Friday afternoon, October 7, 2011 at Autumn Health Care Center, Coshocton, Ohio.
Born March 28, 1923 in Adams Township of Muskingum County, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Walter D. and Carrie (Hogue) Fostor and was a 1941 graduate of Adamsville High School. Mrs. Vansickle retired in 1986 from Bethesda Hospital where she had been a nursing assistant for many years. She was a member of Nashport-Irville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and a former member of Nashport Grange 1893.
Surviving is one brother Gerald Fostor of Dresden, Ohio; a niece Cynthia (Scott) Limburg of Coshocton; two nephews, Chris Fostor of Zanesville, Ohio and Jerry (Glenda) Fostor of Baltic, Ohio; a sister in-law, Viola Fostor of Baltic and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray M. Vansickle whom she married June 17, 1944 and who died May 29, 1998; a son Steven Martin Vansickle, a brother, Harold Fostor and a sister in-law, Dorothy Fostor.
Calling hours will be from Noon to 2pm Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at the funeral home with the Rev. David Havens officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Church Cemetery.
