Ann King Vickers, 95, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, formerly of Adams Mills, died Wednesday September 10, 2003 in New Mexico. She had resided near her son, Robert since 1982.Mrs. Vickers was born September 25, 1907 near Adams Mills, a daughter of Everett and Ida Mae (Cass) King. She had worked along side of her husband Ted many years in various retail grocery businesses in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and later in Adams Mills where they retired in 1976. After they closed their HiWay Market in Adams Mills, she served as a dietary supervisor at Coshocton Health Care Center. Mrs. Vickers was a member of the Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church in Albuquerque. Surviving are her son, Colonel Robert E. (Annell Ross) Vickers, Jr. (USAF-Retired) of Albuquerque; one grandson, Mark R. Vickers also of Albuquerque and many relatives in the Adams Mills and Coshocton areas.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. (Ted) Vickers, whom she married in 1923, in 1976 and one son, Richard, in 1933.Friends may call one hour prior to a 2PM funeral service Tuesday September 16, 2003 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home.
