Obituary
A private memorial service for Ann E. Saunders will be held with Rev. Mark Chow officiating. Mrs. Saunders died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 20, 1921 in Newark, Ohio to the late Roy and Ethel (Patterson) McKim.
Mrs. Saunders loved caring for family. She was an excellent cook and baker. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She sang in the church choir and enjoyed playing the piano. She belonged to several bridge clubs. She was active in the girl scouts, PTA and served as a room mother during the childrenâ??s youth.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Wilbur L. â??Budâ? Saunders, whom she married, October 26, 1941; children, James Saunders of Manchester, TN, Linda (Grant) Ferree of Columbus, Joyce (Cecil) Fields of Galloway; grandchildren, Timothy (Kathy) Ferree of Macedonia, Kristin (Troy) Blevins of Columbus, Kelly Fields of Ada; great-grandchildren, Sean, Michael and Justin Blevins, Madelyn and Danielle Ferree.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Miller and brother, Donald McKim.
The family requests memorial contributions to a favorite charity.
