A celebration of life service for Amy Elizabeth Dunkle, 40 of Roseville, OH will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.

Amy passed away at home surrounded by her family on September 2, 2022 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born February 26, 1982 in Abington, PA.

Survivors include her mother, Linda (Billig) and Michael Binger of Newark; father, Glenn and Judy Patterson of LeLand, NC; husband, Mitchell "Mick" Dunkle; children, Nautas Ennis, Bailey, Kaydee, Darrius, Iris, Ruby, Niko Dunkle; brothers, Andrew (Amanda) Patterson, David Patterson, Michael Long, Jason (Jessi) Long; grandparents, Sally Patterson, Linda & Bill Hammond, several aunts, uncles; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of Heath High School class of 2000. She was a former employee of The Market Basket in Newark prior to devoting her life to raising her family.

She was a kind and gentle soul with a fierce determination and a wonderful sense of humor.

Visitation will be observed Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family wishes to thank the many kind and dedicated people at The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Fairhope Hospice who helped care for Amy.
