Alma Mae Rowe, 91, of Dresden, formerly of Arizona, died at 8AM Monday December 1, 2008 at Autumn Healthcare of Coshocton. Mrs. Rowe was born September 8, 1917 in Sherrard, Marshall Co., W. Virginia, a daughter of the late Carl J. and Ina Robertie (Bond) Smith. She was a retired beautician and had operated shops in Dresden and Arizona. Mrs. Rowe was a self taught pianist and enjoyed drawing in her later years. Surviving are her children, Robert Lee Cassady of Tonto Basin, AZ, Mary (Rodney) Bice of Dresden; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Cassady, Joan Roux, Laura Bowden, Tracey (Jerry) Olinger, Kelly (Kyle) Kanuckel, Christy (Dwaine) Scheetz, Mark (Denise) Bice, Mary (Tim) Beck, Leslie (Mark) Nelson, Amy (Kent) Finton, Betsy (Jeff) Hostetler; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a sister, Muriel Miller of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lee L. Cassady and Curtis F. Rowe; two grandchildren, Timothy Cassady and Mike Cassady; a daughter in law, Patricia Cassady; a brother Carl E. ?Bud? Smith and two sisters, Shirley Keller and Ruth Schumacher. A memorial service will be held at 4PM Sunday December 14, 2008, with calling hours from 2-4PM at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Smith, Mrs. Rowe?s nephew officiating.
