Funeral services for Alice L. Elliott, 89, of Heath, will be at 10:00am Saturday August 11, 2007 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, with Dave Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery in Loraine County. Mrs. Elliott died Tuesday afternoon, August 7, 2007 at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Unit, following a two-week illness. She was born October 21, 1917 in Rocky River, Cuyahoga County; she was the daughter of the late Emil Carl and Florence Marie Louise (Lingruen) Pliske. She retired from the Newark Air force Base, where she worked as an executive administrative assistant. Mrs. Elliott enjoyed attending the Heath Senior Citizens meetings and was an avid bowler in several area leagues. Surviving are two sons, James (Donna) Elliott of Heath and Carl (Carolyn) Elliott of Xenia; two grandchildren, Darrin (Lori) Elliott of Newark, Melissa Elliott of Xenia; a sister in law, Eileen Pliske of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death her husband, Noble A. Elliott in 1955, an infant son, Ronald Elliott; a brother, Elmer Pliske and a sister, Ruth Miller. Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Friday, August 10, 2007 at the funeral home, 1850 West Main Street.
